Subhash Chandra Bose is widely regarded as the most underrated freedom fighter of India. Majority of Indians believed that he was sidelined by Gandhi and Nehru for power. His death is still shrouded in little bit of mystery. His family members had fought a long battle – since 1960s – to declassify files related to Subhash Chandra Bose. However, the Indian government never given any heed to their demands.
Narendra Modi government took a brave decision to declassify hundreds of official files related to Subhash Chandra Bose. It is a plausible step by the Modi Government. It is also quite saddening to see that one of the greatest ever sons of mother India has to go through all this even after his unfortunate demise.
After the declassification of files, the grandnephew of Subhash Chandra Bose joined the BJP. His name is Chandra Kumar Bose.
Profile of Chandra Kumar Bose
Very few people were aware of this brilliant guy until he stole the limelight by joining the BJP. Many Modi haters criticizes him severely saying that Subhash Chandra was little bit communist and had founded Forward Block then how can his family join a Right Wing party? But, they forget that only BJP can get the courage to declassify files of Subhash Chandra Bose.
Chandra Kumar Bose is the son of Amiya Nath Bose.
Amiya was known to be quite close to Indira Gandhi. He had also tried best to persuade Indira to let Indians know about the truth behind S C Bose death. However, Indira had always rejected his request fearing some problems to the name of her father J L Nehru. Amiya Bose had also once tried to open one of the biggest mysteries of Modern History by asking Indira to at least make files related to Nirad C Chaudhury involvement to British intelligence public. Again, the then CBI director Mr. D. P. Kohli prevailed upon Indira and persuaded her to not give any such orders. The history is replete with attempts of Subhsh Chandra Bose’ family members to make Indians know lots of truth hidden in official files. Chandra Kumar Bose is one of the most ardent crusaders of these attempts.
Chandra Kumar Bose has studied from the University of London. He had some good job offers there, but decided to return India. He joined Tata Steel as an Area Sales Manager in 1982. This was a nostalgic job for him as once Subhash Chandra Bose was the Trade Union Leader of Tata Steel.
Chandra Kumar Bose remained with Tata Steel for 18 years. He resigned in 2000 to try something different. After working as an independent consultant for four years, he started Bose Information Technology Pvt. Ltd. in 2004. He is still running the company.
Chandra Kumar Bose and Mamta Banerji
As you might know, Mamta Banerji has always shown a soft corner for Subhash Chandra Bose. She has always demanded the declassification of files related to Late Bose.
However, in a sort of political coup, the BJP decided to let Chandra Kumar Bose contest against Mamta Banerji. This was expected to be the mother of all battles of West Bengal Assembly Election, 2016. In the end, it turned out to be an one sided election for Mamata as she easily won the seat while riding on the wave that catapulted her to the throne for the second consecutive time.
