Shocking Facts about Qamar Javed Bajwa



Qamar Javed Bajwa is the new Chief of Army Staff of the Pakistani Army. He will succeed the most respected General of the Pakistani history Mr. Raheel Sharif. Qamar is also expected to carry on the tradition of Raheel where Army was not seen trying to hack the executive power of the democratically elected leaders.


Qamar Javed was commissioned in the Army in 1982 in 16 Baloch infantry. Following are some of the shocking facts about him:

1.     Qamar Javed Bajwa had worked under an Indian Army Major General: This is one of the most shocking and unbelievable fact about Qamar. How come he worked under an Indian Army personnel? Well, he had served for UN Peace Keeping Force in Congo, Africa. There, he was kept under Bikarm Singh. He served under Bikarm Singh for close to two years. Bikram Singh later became the Chief of Indian Army as well as COAS.





2.     Qamar Javed Bajwa is an Ahmedi Muslim: As you might know, the second Pakistani Constitution Amendment has clearly defined that Ahmedi will be considered as Non – Muslim in Pakistan. It is quite surprising to note that Qamar is an Ahmedi. It was because of this fact that his name was not being considered initially fearing public resentment.


3.     Qamar Javed has deep understanding of Kashmir problem: It is a well-known fact that Qamar was attached with prestigious and lethal X Corps for quite long time. He developed understanding about Northern issues as well as Aazaad Kashmir or Pakistan Occupied Kashmir – PoK. However, one shocking thing is the fact that Qamar has deep knowledge about the Indian part of Kashmir. It is widely believed that he has personal rapports with many Kashmiri leaders. He also understands the complete geography of Kashmir valley. It is because of this fact that many consider him fatal for India.

4. Qamar Javed is a Converted Muslim: Well, it was not Qamar, but his grandfather who had converted to Islam from Hinduism. The family has retained the surname - Bajwa. You can find this surname in Punjab and Haryana. It is generally used by Jat, which means the DNA of Qamar Javed Bajwa is of a Jat Hindu.
