Job Responsibility of Junior Officer

The prime job responsibility of junior officer is to achieve monthly sales target – insurance, savings and current accounts or various loans – by strictly following the conditions of RBI in terms of Know Your Customer (KYC) norms. As you can see, a junior officer is expected to cross sale. He/she is not only going to get savings and current account, but also various insurance and loans products of the bank. A junior officer generally report to an Assistant Manager – Sales of a retail branch.

A junior officer is also expected to generate new leads for the bank. They are required to contact new people and convince them about various financial products of the bank. Obviously, they are expected to spend majority of their time out of the branch. They are also given internal leads which are gained through inquiry in the bank and also through the website. Converting internal leads are quite crucial for junior officers. There is not a modicum of doubt that this is quite a challenging post.
