Aparna was born and brought up in Mumbai. She was eyeing to become an actress and model since her school days. After completing graduation, she started to look for modeling assignments and got some small projects. It was in 2003 when she was selected for the role of English Teacher in movie Footpath. However, her attempt to make a powerful presence in either modeling or films couldn’t go anywhere and then she started to look for opportunity on small screen.

She had worked in few successful TV serials like Jeet on Star Plus and Left Right Right on SAB TV. She got wide appreciation for her portrayal of Dr. Shalini is Left Right Right. Later, she decided to call it a day and concentrate on staying at home and theatre. Recently, she was not being seen on television. That loneliness will come to an end with Big Boss 10.
