Athar Aamir Ul Shafi Khan, IAS: Profile, Family and Girlfriend

Athar Amir Ul Shafi Khan has again showed the Kashiri youths are not inferior to anyone in India when it comes to education. Coming from a small locality of South Kashmir, he has cracked UPSC Civil Services Examination twice. In the second attempt – Civil Services 2015 - , he got All India Rank 2, after Delhi girl and now his love Tina Dabi. 

And, hence now he will join Indian Administrative Services – IAS – which has been his dream. It should be mentioned here that ever since Shah Faisal has topped the Civil Services Examination, a sort of revolution is going on in the valley as far as education is concerned.

Profile of Athar Aamir Ul Shafi Khan

Athar Amir was born in 1993 in Devipora, Mattan in the Anantnag district of Jammu and Kashmir. He has been brilliant student from his school days. Despite lots of local issues, including terrorism, he remained focused to study and always stood first in his class.

After completing education, he appeared in various Engineering entrance examination. He cracked almost all of them and got settled with IIT – Mandi. This was a new IIT with vibrant education environment. It was also close to his birth place.

While studying in IIT, he got the news about Shah Faisal getting All India Rank – 1 in the UPSC Civil Services Examination. He also decided to go for that and devoted his time and energy for the same.

He cracked the Civil Services Examination in his very first attempt. Unfortunately, he couldn’t get good rank and had to settle with Central Services. While joining the training institute, he continued to prepare for Civil Services with the hope that he will become an IAS officer.

The result is a testimony of his dedication. He got the second All India Rank.

Athar’s father is a lecturer in Government Girl’s Higher Secondary School, Anantnag. His mother is a home maker. His father is quite famous in the locality for his humility and integrity.

Athar Aamir shocked the entire nation when his relationship with Tina Dabi become a public knowledge. Needless to say, this was a sort of pleasant shock. This relationship combines the diversity of India where a Buddhist Dalit girl with All India Rank 1 in Civil Services is going to marry a Kashmiri Muslim with AIR 2.
