Saurabh Jorwal is a 2014 batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) Officer of Bihar cadre. In a very short span of time, he has made a name for himself in the world of administrative luminaries. He is still learning bits of administrative management and program implementation, but going by his initial days one can say that he will be a key officer for Bihar Government. He has been posted at Purnea and Saharsa, and at both of these locations, he worked in an innovative manner to bring the benefits at the doorsteps of the needy without compromising with efficiency. His stint as Aurangabad DM was mercurial in many ways. The way he had handled COVID phase despite being twice positive was inspirational.



Saurabh has shown his passion for public service when he solved many mundane problems of Saharsa, like irritating encroachment and related road jams as well as water logging problems.




Saurabh is also an IIT – Delhi alumnus. He has done B. Tech with Computer Science. He frequently uses his tech knowledge to solve day to day administrative problems and issues.

He has recently been transferred out of Aurangabad and has been made the DM of East Champaran.

Educational Qualification: He did B. Tech from IIT – Delhi. He cracked Civil Services Examination twice – in the first attempt he got IRS and in the very next attempt he was successful in getting IAS. It must be noted here that his All India Rank was not good in the UPSC CSE. In the second attempt, his AIR was 802. However, he was able to get IAS because of his category – ST.

AAP supporters are destined for a big shock. Their idol Arvind Kejriwal has never cleared IIT JEE. Rather, he got admission through the fake staff quota to IIT Kharagpur.
