Ekta Kapoor has become
mother. Blessings and congratulatory messages are pouring in for her. The industry
is excited about her motherhood. She has chosen surrogacy to become a mother.
Without having any plan to get married, this was the best way for her to become
a mother.
Tusshar Kapoor had
previously become a father through surrogacy. So were Shahrukh Khan, Karan
Johar and Aamir Khan, among others.
The identity of father
will be a natural question.
As per prevailing law,
it is not a requirement to give name of father or mother, whatever the case
might be, during registration of birth. It means the birth certificate of Ekta
Kapoor son will not have any mention for his father.
But, who is the father
of Ekta Kapoor baby?
As per grapevine going
on in Mumbai, it is a distant relative of Jitendra, the father of Ekta Kapoor.
When Ekta discussed
about plans of surrogacy, Jitendra suggested her name of one of his relatives
for sperm donation. It is to maintain the secrecy of the sperm donor.
The donor who happens to
be a relative has reportedly been given Rs. 15 lakhs to give his mouth shut. He
has also signed an affidavit regarding this.
It might seem easy for a
woman to become a surrogate mother. There are plenty of sperm banks in all
parts of the country. However, Jitendra and Ekta zeroed in for relative to have
a strong sperm without any genetic disorder and confidentiality factor.
Why didn't she adopt a baby?
Ekta Kapoor wanted her egg to be fertilized with the sperm of someone. That's why adoption was never discussed in the family. Without father, there should be a sort of blood relation.
