Ritu Karidhal is the mission director of ISRO’s ambitious Moon Mission Chandrayana – 2. She has previously been the Deputy Operations Director of ISRO’s Mars Orbital Mission, named Mangalyan. She hails from a lower middle class family and studied from Lucknow and Bengaluru. Without graduating from a top notch premier institutes of India, she has touched the sky.
