Neena Verma is a senior
BJP leader from Dhar, Madhya Pradesh. She has won election for MP Legislative
Assembly two times – but at both occasions, her election has been declared null
and void by the High Court.
Ms. Verma first fought
the election in 2008. She lost by two votes. Her party workers demanded
recounting of votes which resulted in her winning the election by just one
vote. The opponent Goutam, a Congress leader, approached the High Court which
gave verdict in his favor. There were some issues in the counting of postal
ballots. Thus, Neena Verma lost the election.
Neena against fought
from the same seat in 2013 and defeated Goutam by a comfortable margin of more
than 11, 000 votes.

Neena Verma was born on
19th October, 1960 in Ajmer, Rajasthan. She came to the limelight
when she got married to a powerful leader of Madhya Pradesh – Vikram Verma.
Vikram Verma is one of
the most respected political leaders of MP. He has been a cabinet minister and
the leader of opposition in MP Assembly.
Neena and Vikram have
three daughters.
