Reshma Patel: Profile, Wiki, Husband, Age and MMS Scandal

Reshma Patel is a firebrand young politician of Gujarat. She was one of the most prominent faces of Patidar Andolan for reservation, along with Hardik Patel. Before Gujarat Assembly Election, she left Hardik and joined the BJP. She is being seen as a galvanizing force for the BJP to convince powerful Patidars that the party is keen to solve their problems. She is also expected to fight the next Assembly Election – perhaps from Sabarmati.

Reshma was born and brought up in Junagarh, Gujarat in a middle class Patel family. She has been a sort of rebellious since her school days. She was known for being a fierce debater as well as a voracious reader. She has done graduation from Bahauddin Arts College, Junagarh. While preparing for Civil Services Examination, she came across the benefits that candidates belonging to OBC are getting despite coming from rich families.



Reshma couldn’t clear UPSC Civil Services. She started to work for a private firm and got married. However, the pain of not becoming a Civil Servant always remained in her heart. When Hardik Patel launched protest for quota, she joined and very soon became a prominent face of the andolan.

Recently, she was not feeling better because of diversionary tactics of Hardik Patel. She saw him bargaining with leaders belonging to all political parties. She saw the naked dance of money at the footsteps of Hardik. Miffed with all these, she left her and joined the BJP.

Morphed Image and MMS Scandal

Reshma Patel was also in news for some morphed images of her being shared over the social media. A user first uploaded an image of one Reshma Patel (from Chicago, a namesake of this Reshma) and wrote vulgar comment. There was absolutely nothing wrong in that image, just little bit of expose with night dress.

Reshma is married. However, she lives alone in Ahmedabad. She is not a divorcee, but doesn’t stay with her husband. She has two children – one son and one daughter and both of her children stay with her husband.
