Meenakshi Lekhi is one of the most prominent 3rd generation leaders of the BJP. She is known for her strong and rational views on various developmental issues. Husband of Meenakshi Lekhi


 Aman Lekhi is the husband of Meenakshi. Aman is also an advocate. However, unlike Meenakshi, he practiced in Delhi High Court. He is a person of impeccable integrity and always maintains remarkable probity in his professional life. It is widely known that 90% of cases that Aman fought in the High Court are free. He always strives for taking cases related to the problems of tribal, farmers and down trodden people. He has also not joined any political parties. There is no denying that he is also a supporter of the BJP, but he is yet to become a member of the party. It is said that he is taking inspiration from the husband of Sushma Swaraj, who is also away from active politics. 
Interestingly, Meenakshi and Aman tied the knot against the wishes of Aman's family. Meenakshi has studied from Hindu College and later did Law. In the campaigning for a bar election, she met Aman Lekhi, who was campaigning for the rival group. The hot discussion between two slowly took a cute turn when they fell for each other.


It must be noted here that on some issues Aman Lethi has publicly taken an independent stand. For example, he is not averse to criticize BJP for some of its communal policies.

Prem Nath Lekhi is the father-in-law of Meenakshi. Like his son Aman, Prem Nath had never joined any political parties. However, his attempt in institutionalizing Public Interest Litigation (PIL) in the judiciary is recognized in legal circles. He is also known for fighting the case of Satwant Singh, the man who had killed Indira Gandhi.

It may surprise many that Prem Nath Lekhi was the lawyer of Zahira Sheikh, one of the many victims of unfortunate Gujarat riots of 2002.

Meenakshi Lekhi is also one of the closest confidants of Narendra Modi, the prime minister of India. She fought election against Ajay Makan and Ashish Khetan from New Delhi and won with a handsome majority. She is recognized as the woman who stood firmly against the propaganda of AAP on Social and Mainstream media. It is heartening to see that she has defeated Ashish Khetan, the man who was behind the politically motivated snoop gate scandal.

 Recently, Meenakshi Lekhi embarrassed millions of her supporters when she couldn't write simple Hindi.
