Devendra Fadnavis: Wife and Family

There is not an iota of doubt behind the fact that Devendra Fadanavis is currently the most popular public figure of Maharashtra. His popularity rating has crossed even that of Late Bala Saheb Thackeray.

It is because of this fact that the national leadership of the BJP had to thwart the indirect pressure of powerful Nitin Gadakari to let Devendra Fadanavis become the CM of Maharashtra. Even Uddhav Thackeray understood the wider public mood and decided to support the BJP government led by none other than Devendra Fadanavis.

It must be mentioned here that the CM Devendra Fadanavis becomes the most popular politician of Maharashtra only after the sad and unfortunate demise of Gopinath Munde.


A different politician

Devendra Fadnavis isn't like everyday politician. He is a well-read person. His speeches in the Assembly were waited by intelligentsia. It gives immense pleasure to see a politician like him in these times of complete cynicism. He is a scholar on Budget and Accounting.

Devendra Fadnavis has the credit of becoming the mayor of Nagpur at a very young age. He fulfilled the dream of Nagpur, and it is this city which propelled him in the limelight.

Nagpur isn't only his janam and karambhumi. It is also more to him. It is here that he found his love. He came into contact with Amruta Ranade at a function in Nagpur. They became friend and after some time Devendra proposed Amruta.

Amruta’s parents are doctors. There is no history of politics in her family. Her parents were not happy with this relationship. However, when they met Devendra, the instant approval comes to the way of the couple.

Devendra and Amruta Ranade got married in 2006. Even after marriage, Amruta didn't quit her banking job. In fact, she is still working with Axis Bank as a branch manager. It is his earning which is used to run the family. Devendra salary is used for an NGO.
When Devendra became CM, Amruta applied for transfer. Obviously, she got the transfer instantly.

Devendra and Amruta have a sweet little doctor named Divija.
