Ansar Ahmad Shaikh: Profile and Family Details



Ansar Ahmad Shaikh has cracked UPSC Civil Services Examination 2015 with an All India Rank of 361. He has defied all odds, including religious discrimination, to crack the prestigious competitive examination of India. With prevalent reservation system, he may get IAS with this rank. Coming from a poor conservative Muslim family where there was no record of higher education, his achievement is really worth applauding. He has become a sort of inspiration for poor youngsters trying hard to make a mark in this world of cut throat competition.



Profile of Ansar Ahmad Shaikh


Ansar was born in Shedgaon village of Jalna, Maharashtra. His father has three wives and Ansar mother is the second. There are lots of children from these three women in his house. Being a poor, his father was never able to provide good education for any of his children. However, Ansar was different. He was a brilliant student and has the potential to give the best possible result in trying circumstances. He was a topper throughout his school. Unfortunately, he couldn’t think about going for Engineering as getting into a good coaching institute was not financially feasible for him.


His father is a rickshaw puller and brother works at a garage.


He took admission in the prestigious Ferguson College, Pune and started to prepare for Civil Services from very first day. He did B.A. in Political Science stream.


He took admission in the Unique Academy of Pune. There he found a teacher named Rahul Tukaram, who was an IIM Calcutta alumnus. Rahul was also taking classes at Unique Academy. Rahul ensured that Ansar study without having any problem. Incidently, Rahul also cracked UPSC Civil Services with a rank of 200.






Ansar has alleged that he had to change his name to a Hindu to get accommodation and food in Pune. His friends are really shocked to hear this. He is obviously not the first Muslim student in Pune. There isn’t as such a problem. He might have faced problem at some place, but that is quite a mundane thing. Anyone can face issues like difficulty in finding accommodation. But, there is also no denying that a Muslim doesn’t find it difficult to find accommodation in Pune. He is making this allegation without any substance. Hopefully, he will understand the gravity of making such a baseless accusation to the resident of Pune, who are known for being liberal and modern in their outlook. It should also be mentioned here that he was taught by Hindus for Civil Services. His achievement was celebrated by Hindus at the Unique Academy. His fee for coaching was reduced to affordable limit by Hindus. And, here he is blaming Hindus. 
In any case, no where in India you will find a person getting turned down from a hotel or mess on the basis of religion. That is simply ridiculous and outrageous accusation by this young man.

How Is Modi Responsible?


 It is even more shocking that some media personalities and politicians are blaming Modi Government for this lie of Ansar Ahmad Shaikh. For a moment, if one take his blatant lie as truth, how come Modi comes into the picture? He was not the Prime Minister and Maharashtra was ruled by Congress-NCP Government when this incident was supposed to have happened.
