Deepak Kalal has made some of the most controversial videos on Kashmir valley. He became popular there when Kashmiris, particularly youngsters, realized that his nasal feminine voice has some message for them. He is regularly visiting Kashmir valley since last few years and shoot videos. His recent videos which have become popular are against the Indian establishment understanding of Kashmir. His out of the box solution for Kashmir problem is also outrageous. He calls Burhan Wani a freedom fighter which may irk mainland Indians, but Kashmir youths love that.

Profile of Deepak Kalal

Deepak was born and brought up in Pune in a humble family. He could not study for more than 10^th class because of the urgent need to earn money. Somehow, he did a short course on hotel management and joined a hotel as a receptionist.

Deepak started to use You Tube when he first went to Kashmir in 2011 and shot a video there. Later, he transmogrified himself as a person who can speak freely on Kashmir issues. He is so popular in the valley that he visits in the area where militants reside, like Shopian and other parts of South Kashmir.

Deepak is all set to settle in Kashmir. Article 370 will not allow him to own property there. But, he is sure of working there and be with people he is in love with.
